Editing Resident Lease Dates
RealPage: Editing Resident Lease Dates To change a date, click the (Date) link. For current and former residents, you can change any of the following dates: Applied: This is the date the resident completed the lease application. Lease signed: This is the date the resident signed the lease. If your property has implemented date-editing restrictions on the Lease signed date, it is non-editable on the Lease information page, but you can change it through the edit lease dates feature. If you change the date, OneSite updates it on the Lease information page and Lease details tab after you Close the Lease dates page. Move-in: This is the date the resident moved in. Lease start: This is the lease start date. Lease end: If a resident has renewed and the renewal lease has not yet taken effect, you can change the lease end date of the current lease to any date that is prior to the renewal lease start date. If you enter a past date (one that is prior to the property date), the system updates the lease to a month-to-month status. For former residents, you can change these additional dates: Move-out: This is the date the move-out was completed. Notice given on: This is the date the resident gave notice to move out (or the notice was entered in OneSite). In the (Change date) box, change the date to any date on or between the range of dates that display and click Save. The Lease date change message is displayed. Changing a date: Does not automatically adjust transactions on the resident's ledger. You must enter adjustments manually in the current A/R period, if needed. Does not affect the unit's availability. Does not affect the end dates of transactions in scheduled billing. This is important if you change the Lease end date. By default, scheduled billing transactions are open-ended so that they end 12/31/2099. This allows OneSite to continue billing the charges automatically until the person moves out, regardless of the lease end date. However, if scheduled billing transactions are set to stop billing on the lease end date, you must edit each transaction and change the scheduled billing end date to the new lease end date. Otherwise, the lease will continue with no charges billed. Click Save. OneSite returns you to the (Edit) Lease dates box. Repeat these steps to change other dates
